When I go to the movies (usually once a month) any means of trying to eat heathy just does not exist. Im hypnotized by the buttery smell of popcorn and the ice cold fountain pop. When I try to eat healthy at a movie theatre I usually don't enjoy the movie as much, as though a grey cloud floats above my seat. It feels as though i'm sitting in the middle of the best party ever, and I cant partake in the festivities; throwing popcorn, laughing out loud while sipping on sugary drinks. Okay thats a tad bit exaggerated but I cannot neglect myself of the colourful junk they present to me at the theatre.
However, if you go to the movie theatre more than once a month..I would suggest bringing healthier snacks that still give you that crunch factor.
Here are my favorites:
- Trail mix
- Dry cereal (Cheerios)
- Orville Redenbacher 100 calorie popcorn
- Pretzels
- Low-fat granola
- Baked tortilla chips
- Baked potato chips
